Cultural Somatic Skills for Navigating Difficult Times

10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m.
Zoom (Virtual)

As we commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we reflect on his unwavering commitment to hope, community, and resilience in the face of profound challenges. This session honors Dr. King’s enduring influence by offering tools to support personal and collective well-being, healing, and endurance as we continue striving toward a more just and equitable future.

Dr. Gladys Smith will guide participants through cultural somatic practices designed to help us navigate difficult times with greater grounding and awareness. Through breathwork, gentle movement, and moments of self-reflection, participants will explore practical ways to reconnect with their bodies, regulate stress, and cultivate resilience. This interactive experience invites us to deepen our capacity for compassion, presence, and sustained action—both for ourselves and our communities.

Join us as we draw inspiration from Dr. King’s legacy and practice skills that foster strength, restoration, and collective hope. All are welcome!
