Healing Ourselves: Building Deeper Connections is a collaborative series offered by Meg Krejci, Mindfulness Consultant, and Erin Stampp from the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
This three-part series invites participants to explore how mindfulness practices can help uncover implicit biases and support personal and professional growth toward positive change. Our brains are designed to protect us, which can sometimes make it difficult to lean into the discomfort of acknowledging bias and staying present in challenging conversations.
Through guided reflection and discussion, participants will:
• Practice ways to manage “fight, flight, or freeze” responses
• Explore how our perceptions shape our ability to act as change agents
These practices can become valuable tools for engaging in difficult conversations and contributing to healthier culture and climate without shutting down or becoming burned out.
All WashU students, staff, faculty, and trainees are welcome.
