Perspectives: Debunking the Myth of the Model Minority

11:45 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

In recognition of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’s Perspectives Dialogue will focus on what the Model Minority Myth is and how it misrepresents and harms the AAPI community. We will discuss the current impacts of this myth on health outcomes, political representation and efforts to address systemic racism. The discussion will conclude by celebrating change agents from the AAPI community and what we can learn from them! Grab your lunch and join us on Zoom!
