In recognition of Juneteenth, the WashU Medicine Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion invites the WashU Medicine community to join us for a campus celebration on Thursday, June 18, from 11am–2pm in the FLTC Hearth & Atrium. Juneteenth commemorates freedom, resilience, and community, and this event offers an opportunity to connect, reflect, and celebrate together.
The celebration will feature refreshments, games, painting, a photo booth, bouquet making, a film screening, and opportunities to learn more about the significance of Juneteenth. Faculty, staff, students, trainees, and community members are all welcome.
This event is co-sponsored by the WashU Association of Black Biomedical Graduate Students (ABBGS), the WashU Black Postdoctoral Association, and the WashU Student National Medical Association (SNMA).
Please fill out the RSVP form below to help us plan for attendance and refreshments.
