In recognition of Juneteenth, the WashU Medicine Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is hosting a campus celebration on Wednesday, June 18th from 11:30am – 2pm in FLTC Atrium and Hearth! The Juneteenth Jubilee is an opportunity to connect with members of the WashU School of Medicine community, and learn more about Juneteenth. The event will feature food from Black-owned businesses, games, and informational materials about Juneteenth and local organizations. We encourage individuals and teams to stop by for a plate of food, community, and connections!
This event is co-sponsored by the Roy and Diana Vagelos Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences, the Program in Occupational Therapy, the WashU COTAD chapter, the WashU Association of Black Biomedical Graduate Students, the WashU Student National Medical Association, the WashU Black Postdoctoral Association, and the WashU Black Faculty and Staff Cabinet.
RSVP in order for the event to be well-accommodated for food and beverages. Masks will be provided. Email Joel Dalton (joeltdalton@wustl.edu) with questions, concerns, or accommodation requests.
